In a security incident

Decide with confidence.

When systems go down, data is leaking or extortion is on the table, one thing matters above all: clear decisions under enormous pressure.

Jona stands by you as managing director, C-level decision-maker or board member in the moments that count. Calm, in plain language for non-technical people and, above all, as an equal.

An IT security incident isn't just an IT problem.

It's a management task.

In an acute security incident, worlds often collide. The technicians speak in logs, hashes and indicators; management needs understandable answers on liability, damage, priorities and communication.

Jona is the translator from IT to management and back.

As an external IT security advisor, he creates clarity and the confidence to act where there are misunderstandings between the IT service provider and management.

For full ability to act during an IT security incident.

Typical

High decision pressure with an unclear picture

Risk of wrong moves with legal or financial consequences

Many opinions, no real orientation

problems
Handle cyber security incidents head-on

Time? Critical!

Management gets direct support with:

Assessing the situation

Continuous decision support

Establishing the confidence to act within management

Advice on decisions in cooperation with authorities
(BSI, LKA, public prosecutor, etc.)

IT security incident advisory

Advisory for more safety in security crises.

Smiling man with glasses, beard, and black shirt against a dark gray textured background.

Jona analyses the incident consistently from a management perspective.
He classifies what happened technically, translates the impact onto the business and lays out realistic options for action. He makes transparent what consequences decisions carry short- and long-term — whether economic, legal or organisational.

What Jona doesn't do:

No hands-on incident response, no managing service providers, no decision authority or power to issue instructions within the incident team.

Attitude
How Jona works.

Very direct, for the sake of effectiveness.

Only hard facts and their analysis count.

Full of humour but, above all, high standards.

You'll intuitively know whether you can work with Jona or not once you know his core positions:

The goal is to resolve the security incident as fast as possible with as little liability risk as possible.

Tushar Pillai
Founder & Managing Director, Appleute GmbH
“Jona has been my sparring partner for over a year now — the only one who consistently asks me the uncomfortable questions instead of telling me what I want to hear. He has been through the same entrepreneurial upheavals himself and thinks along on every level: from sharpening our target audience to the shareholder agreement and equity split, all the way to liquidity planning. His push for focus — letting go of weak revenue rather than chasing it all — got us to break-even and on course toward our first million. Honest, direct, and every single time it moves me forward.”
Marcel Hoppe
Streamer & Founder, tinNendo
“As a creator, it feels like you do everything yourself – and still never the right thing first. Jona helped me turn my reach into a business that actually holds up: clear numbers, real priorities, and income that doesn't wobble with every algorithm update. He takes me seriously as an entrepreneur, not just a streamer. For the first time, I'm scaling my thing instead of just feeding it.”
Experience. Foresight. Entrepreneurship.

Founder Sparring

Together we figure out whether it even makes sense to work together. No sales talk, no pitch. If it's not a fit, Jona says so directly.

You lay it all bare: org chart, numbers, business model, current challenges, personal goals — and you describe your biggest bottlenecks from your own perspective.

Together you analyse your company, work out what's behind your bottlenecks and set the first concrete priorities. That's your starting shot.

Monthly 1:1 calls (approx. 90 minutes), implementation check-ins, strategic development. Jona gives the impulse, you put it into action. This isn't consulting where someone thinks for you — it's a partnership. You stay the entrepreneur; he brings the mirror and the clear edge.

Together you look at what has changed and where it goes from here.

Tool: Microsoft Teams. Rate: 300 EUR, billed in 15-minute increments. No contract lock-in. (Jona is no fan of contractual ties — he makes it easy for you to stay.)

For founders, managing directors and entrepreneurs. Ideal just before or already in the phase of 1 to 15 million EUR in revenue.

This is exactly where many reach the point where the old way of working no longer holds — but the new one isn't within reach yet.

This sparring isn't for you if you're looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear. It's for you if you're ready to take honest feedback and act on it — even when it's uncomfortable.

It starts with a free first conversation. After that, the rate is 300 EUR per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. You only pay for what you actually use. No retainers, no minimum term.

For entrepreneurs with a bigger development need, there are also intensive formats with a workshop, regular calls and work with the leadership team. You'll discuss that in the first conversation.

Jona has built a company himself — scaled it, steered it through crises and restructured it. He has made leadership mistakes, lost employees, burned money, prioritised wrong and learned from it. He doesn't sell theory, but experience from entrepreneurial reality.

No certificate replaces that.

IT Security & Incident

Go to IT Security and use the request form (with a phone number for a direct call back). Requests through it are handled as a priority and forwarded straight to Jona. Sometimes hours make the difference — that's why this direct route exists.

Too many people involved, too little clarity. You're in the middle, carrying the responsibility.

Jona is your external companion at management level. He oversees your IT providers and incident responders, translates between their technical language and your business reality, and makes sure recovery follows your business priorities, not technical logic.

Insurers, authorities, data protection, leadership team — Jona makes sure you know what you say and what you decide.

Because these are two completely different roles.

An incident manager, a forensics team or a SOC works on the incident: isolating systems, locking out attackers, preserving evidence, recovering. That's indispensable — and exactly right.

Jona works on the decisions. Do we pay? When do we inform customers, authorities, the press? What do we tell the board? Do we shut down production? Who can we still trust? These questions don't land with the provider — they land with you. And you make them under time pressure, with incomplete information, while everyone is looking at you.

His role: at your side, not at the system. He translates between tech and management, lays out the options with their consequences, and tells you honestly what he would do in your place — and what he wouldn't. From more than 100 incidents he has handled, he knows how these situations play out.

In short: your IR provider resolves the incident. Jona makes sure you make the right decisions along the way.

Jona is founder and CEO of suresecure GmbH, one of the leading providers of Security Operations Centers and incident management in Germany. On top of that, he founded securance GmbH, a specialised broker for cyber insurance.

Over more than ten years, he has handled more than 100 IT security incidents in a wide range of roles. From mid-sized businesses to corporations, from ransomware to data breaches.

What he brings: deep technical knowledge and the ability to translate it into the decisions you have to make as a managing director.

For any entrepreneur or decision-maker caught in an IT security incident who feels: everyone's talking, no one speaks my language. The techies are doing something, but I don't know what. I have to make decisions, but I have no basis for them.

If that's how you feel right now — then you're in exactly the right place.

Speaker & Podcast
